Carmen
Further Adventures
in Munich

Carmen writes: I start my walk under the arcades of the Hofgarten (Photo 1), a beautiful garden besides the Odeonsplatz (2 – 5). At this place begins a long splendid highway with precious buildings and the university. 70 years ago the most terrible dictator of the world’s history had used this place for military parades and self presentations. Now at this place there are concerts, wonderful culture and peace festivals with people from all states of the world. Magnificent! Here you see the “Feldherrnhalle” (Hall of The Commanders) with the two lions, the symbol from Bavaria. Nearby there is the National theater”. I’m standing on the stairs of it (6 – 7).
