ALPHA MASKING
A MASKING
EXPERIENCE STORY
CHAPTER ONE
Xochi and her sorority sisters were crushed by the death of Rebecca Ramparts.
She had been the star of her class. Rebecca had not only been the brightest girl in the Alpha House with a valedictorian candidate's grade point and
articulation ability, she had also been an absolute vision of loveliness. All
the other girls in the Alpha House had wanted to be just like her. Even at her death, is not more so, Rebecca still was the sorority's ultimate standard of excellence.
Bill Tomlinson and Rebecca Ramparts had been the perfect couple. He was the
president of the Sigmas and was a 4.0 scholar athlete. Like Rebecca, Bill was the model of excellence in his fraternity. All Alpha women wished their boy
friends came at least close to Bill's looks, caring heart, athletic prowess and scholastic abilities. If there ever was a couple destined for success in the center of the American dream, it was Rebecca and Bill. They had been the King and Queen of Greek Week two years in a row. But, something had gone terribly wrong when Bill had invited Rebecca, at the request of Sigma House, to be part of some prank fraternity activity during the Sigma's fall initiation rituals.
Notsoiv University had come down hard on most hazing rituals and fraternity
pranks due to recent injuries and a couple of deaths in the last five years.
The State Police were after one group because they had gone so far as to hang
a Volkswagen off the eastern side of the Golden Gate Bridge with an budgie
cord. While no one was actually injured by the prank, the stunt blocked entry
for large ships into San Francisco Bay during rush hour and a heavy fog. Thus, the only rituals that were left that had any relation to the Greek bonding activities of old, were carried on in the dead of night in cloaked, secure, secrecy within the bowels of the Frat Row basements.
It was during one of these secret rituals that Rebecca had died and Bill was
critically injured. As tragic as the injury and resulting coma was for Bill,
Rebecca's sorority sisters in the Alpha house wanted to know what had happened to the pride of their sorority, but none of the Sigmas were talking. All that
anyone knew was that the small, alleged chemical fire that had burned the inside of Bill's lungs, had killed Rebecca by asphyxiating her in her sleep upon something that appeared to be like an altar. Xochi believed that the fire was deliberately set to cover-up what had been a drunken festival that had resulted in the gang rape of Rebecca. Ironically because Bill had been bound and gagged his lungs had been spared some of the poisonous smoke that killed Rebecca.
For Xochi the loss was a double one, because not only had she worshipped Rebecca like a beloved older sister, Bill was her much adored stepbrother. When the Tomlinsons had adopted Xochi from the children's home they had taken her into their family like one of their own. Bill had held up that practice in spades. He was always there for Xochi and Rebecca had followed his lead. Rebecca's sponsorship allowed Xochi entry into the exclusive all white Alpha Sorority even though it was as plain as the color of her skin that Xochi was from either a Native American or Mexican American heritage. Xochi decided that she had to figure out how to give Bill a reason to return to the conscious world. She also had to learn how to give Rebecca's spirit a visual life.
The investigating police officers weren't having any luck breaking the Sigma's
code of silence and the wealthy parents of the boys were putting political pressure on the police and coroner to rule the death as unexplained and
accidental. These same parents were putting pressure on Notsoiv University to
let the whole matter drop. As one of the parents put it, "It was a tragic reality that could not have been avoided."
Xochi convinced some her sorority sisters that if anyone was to get to the bottom of Rebecca's death, and Bill's critical injury, they were going to have to come up with something bizarre that would break down the Sigma's code of
silence and produce some conclusive evidence. She also believed that Bill's life was still in danger because he was witness to the killing of Rebecca. Since the Police weren't doing anything to protect him, they were going to have to figure out a way to do this as well.
For Xochi, the spark of the much-needed plan was born two weeks after Rebecca's death. Bill was still in a coma and on the critical list. The Sigma's didn't seem to have any concern about Bill as long as he was in this condition. Life support systems were keeping him alive, but the prognosis didn't look hopeful, but she believed that would change if he started to improve. The whole matter weigh heavily upon Xochi's mind as she sat in the Alpha house main lounge.
The room looked like the great hall from some Gothic Library on that cold
November morning. The Alpha House main lounge's bookshelves not only housed an
awesome library that was constantly being upgraded by the generous alumni of the house, it also contained the busts of all the Alpha presidents, both past and present amidst the thousands of precious volumes and bound journals. The whole effect made the place feel like hallowed ground, a tribute to learning and a sanctuary for knowledge. The resources of the Alpha's library were said to rival those of the university itself and on women's issues, it was second to none. Xochi remembered that she had to learn all the names of each of those women who were honored by a bust in the library when she had passed through the Alpha's initiation rituals. The process help bond her to all those great women who had used the hall before her.
Until this moment the surroundings of the room had comforted her, but by now her grief was beginning to overwhelm her and depression was setting in big time. The Alpha's had hired a couple of counselors who specialized in grief counseling, but at this point they still hadn't found a way to help Xochi. She still wanted to save Bill and get some pay back for what happened to him and Rebecca.
The fact that all of the busts were absolutely life like helped in the name
learning task for Xochi. Sitting among them in this sanctuary of learning was
like being in a great cathedral with fabulous stained glass windows and multiple altars to the saints of the place. Then all of a sudden the seed took root. Among the heads were three of Rebecca. She was the only president so honored in that she had been president three times. Xochi swore that she could hear the busts of Rebecca talking to her and suggesting a plan of revenge for her and the recovery of Bill. The impact of the voices that morning were especially great in that as Bill's step sister, Rebecca's family had given Xochi all of the clothes Rebecca had in her closets and drawers at the Alpha House.
Rebecca had never been what is often labeled as a clotheshorse or a fashion slut. She had her own very elegant sense of style. The University was situated in the interior of the Northern end of the country and the winters often got bitterly cold. Thus, Rebecca's wardrobe was full of fabulous fur and leather coats as well as liberal sprinkling of wool and leather suits. Her shoe size was the same as Xochi's, so Xochi had also inherited Rebecca's extensive collection of boots and snow gear.
Xochi felt guilty that she was now blessed with all of these gifts when it took the death of her stepbrother's beloved for this to happen. On the other hand, she felt as if she was honoring Rebecca's memory by wearing her clothes as she was now. Then while making another glance at Rebecca's three busts in the library, it came to Xochi that maybe she could use of the busts to create five or six masks of Rebecca and convince the "Alpha Musketeers" to work with her to bring "Rebecca's Ghost" alive. Maybe with a little scheming, they could have "Rebecca's Ghost" shake up the Sigma House and protect Bill too.
Muffy, Bunny, Peggy and Sue were known as the Alpha's Four Musketeers. They
did everything together. It was as if they were joined at the hip. The Alpha
House always had to cover for them and their scrapes with the university administration. If it weren't for the fact that the parents of Muffy, Bunny, Peggy and Sue were the current set of deep pockets that gave the Alphas their elegant life style, the Four Musketeers would have been bounced doing their first semester in the Alpha House. On the other hand, these same four girls were the heart of every intramural team the Alphas fielded. Somehow, Rebecca had always found a way to keep them focused and clear of suspension. The Alpha's extensive trophy case testified to their ample and total success. Without Rebecca's leadership, it was only a matter of time before Muffy, Bunny, Peggy, and Sue would run amuck of some university regulation.
Xochi was sure that if she could enlist their aid, she would not only be able to find out how Rebecca was killed and Bill was put in a life threatening
situation, but she would also be able to get some pay back. She needed to prove her gang rape theory and demonstrate that Bill's life was still endangered. In addition, Xochi believed that between her and the other four Alphas, there was enough spare time, creativity, daring and imagination to help her find a way to avenge those realities and see to it that the Sigma house was closed down and it's charter pulled.
While the code of silence was defending the culprits in Sigma house, Xochi had
heard from Bill before the incident that there were no less than four rival cliques among the Sigma brothers. One of the qualities that made up Bill's
unique style of leadership was his ability to bridge and knit together rivals
into one working unit. He was a wonderful power broker. No one had really set out to teach him this skill, it just seemed to be instinctual with him. With Bill's brokering abilities gone, the factionalism the Sigmas were known for began to reassert itself once again. Since Xochi was becoming more and more convinced that these series of rivalries were at the root of Rebecca's death and Bill's near death experience, she began to think of ways to use this competition in her final plan and strategies.
It took Xochi two days to organize the Alpha Musketeers. As Xochi had projected, screwing up the minds of the Sigmas was just the type of project they craved. They set out to build a mask making laboratory in Muffy and Bunny's room. Peggy used some left over birthday money to buy all the materials they needed. The first two masks came out a little strange, but served a practice units and prototypes to work out all their mistakes on. Once Xochi and the Musketeers got the hang of the process, they didn't stop making the masks until they ran out of latex. By the time they done two weeks later, the five-some had thirty-one perfect replicas of Rebecca's head. Xochi took the three best and upgraded them with her artistic skills until even Rebecca's parents agreed that Xochi had brought their daughter's spirit back into the land of the living.
While Xochi was as tall as Rebecca it took a trip to the local lingerie shop with Rebecca's younger sister, Ramona, to get padding and silicon items to make Xochi's figure fill out Rebecca's clothes perfectly. When Xochi and Ramona returned to the Rampart's house for dinner, with Xochi masked as Rebecca and in one of Rebecca's leather suits, boots and trench coat, her appearance upon their arrival so startled Mrs. Ramparts when she opened the front door, that she fainted dead away. For Mr. Ramparts and Ramona, this proved that Xochi had figured out a way to give Rebecca's spiritual being a visual reality.
"The likeness incredible," said Mrs. Ramparts once she recovered from her faint. "It is like having Rebecca back with us. I so wanted to say good-bye to her and tell her how much we all loved her."
"I think that Rebecca knows that, Mom," responded Xochi tenderly from behind her Rebecca mask.
"I want to help Rebecca find her real killers, Mom." announced Ramona.
"I don't think it is all that great a plan that Xochi try that, Ramona," declared Mr. Ramparts. "Let the police do their investigation."
"But they aren't doing anything, Dad," said Xochi as Rebecca. "They don't even have a guard on Bill's door and I think that there will be an attempt on his life if he starts getting better."
"Have you told the police this?" asked Mrs. Ramparts.
"Yes, but they won't listen." proclaimed Xochi as Rebecca.
I'll make some calls," stated Mr. Ramparts. "Tomlinson has some connections and I'm sure that he will bend an ear or two."
"He has been trying that already, but they are ignoring him as well."
"Then do what you have to do, Rebecca, I mean Xochi. If you need any financial assistance let me know."
"Thanks, Dad," said Rebecca/Xochi. "Four of the girls in the sorority are going to take turns doing Rebecca in Bill's room. It is so quiet that it is a perfect place to study, and if Bill wakes up, the first person he will see will be Rebecca."
"Now that sounds like a good plan," commented Mrs. Ramparts.
"Does that mean I can help too?" probed Ramona.
"Not on your life, little girl. I have already lost one daughter. I don't want you in harms way as well," stated Mrs. Ramparts.
Sue found a wholesaler on the web where they purchased forty wigs that they could use with all the heads they had produced. It was Muffy that came up with the idea of using the masks to set one Sigma group against the other. In this scenario the "Ghost of Rebecca" would inform one group about how one of the other groups was selling it out to the cops. Not to be out done, Bunny figured out how they could each get a date with one member of each rival group on the same night and then have them all go out with a "Rebecca". Sue then went shopping for five identical black leather outfits and coats that would add to the confusion. They felt so good about what they were doing that they decided to create the "Order of Rebecca" within the Alpha House.
The five Alpha women agreed that in their version of "Rebecca's Ghost", they
would be whatever fantasy their date desired as long as it wound up with no actual sexual contact and with the Sigma males soaking in a hot tub of permanent green dye from neck to toe at the end of the date. The "Ghost of Rebecca" would be the ultimate pick tease until that point. Each male was to be promised the world if he supplied the slightest amount of information. She would spike her date's drinks with sodium pentathol and tape his answers to her questions. If she got some good stuff, she was to call the other "Ghosts" and have them use it on the other "dates". The "Ghosts" were also to leave each date with the distinct impression that they were Rebecca's one and only true love since the loss of Bill and that she had dyed them green to make sure that they stayed faithful to her. Each male would be instructed that they were never to reveal what happened to them or that they were going out with Rebecca just now.
When the five Alphas returned to their house, they were to compare notes and
prepare themselves for the next round of dates. The successes of the first round of "dates" with "Rebecca's Ghost" let Xochi know that one more round and
possibly a third would render all the evidence she needed to make several of
the Sigma's crack and turn state's evidence against the rest of the boys, Xochi and the Four Musketeers felt that at most the Sigmas would only get a slap on the wrist and since the "daddy's" of the major offenders were the Mayor, Chief of Police, and the District Attorney, the whole thing would get buried anyway.
Thus, their plan switched to the second level of attack that Peggy had suggested. The first part of the attack was to make the Sigmas start planning
"pranks" that would tragically start them killing each other. The second part
was to make the major perpetrators "disappear" from the Sigma House and reappear as feminized pledge slaves in the Alpha's house. The pledge slaves would all bare a striking resemblance to "Rebecca's Ghost". Xochi believed that the "disappearances" would heighten the paranoia among the Sigmas and make the "pranks" all that more vicious. In addition, the new pledge slaves would be all "too glad" to give the Alpha House a much needed fresh of paint inside and out. Once that was done they would have "fun" redoing the floors, and refinishing all of the doors. Bunny's connection to her dad's pharmaceutical lab would get them all of the hormones and hypnotic drugs they needed. By the time the second level of their plan was completed, about all the "pledge slaves" would be good for was sucking cocks in the state's penitentiary system.
Even as the feminization of the "slave pledges" occurred, "Rebecca's Spirit
Ghost" would keep "dating" the Sigmas and laying the seeds for the pranks and
paranoia. With the intelligence Xochi and the Musketeers were gathering and the beautification that was upgrading the life styles of the Alpha House residents, other sisters in the sorority began to participate and relieve the original five so that they could work on their studies and increase their vigils with Bill. Some of the sisters assisted by tutoring the original five members of "The Order of Rebecca" so that their grades would be the best they had ever received.
While all of the above was going on, Xochi was more and more time visiting with Bill. She used the bathroom in his hospital room to convert herself into "Rebecca" each time she visited Bill. The doctors said that his lungs were
regenerating and that he had been moved from critical to guarded and then to
stable condition. They told Xochi to keep doing whatever she and her four sorority sisters were doing during their visits, since they noted a marked
improvement in Bill since they had started them. The police finally put a guard on Bill's door when "Rebecca's" presence foiled an attempt on Bill's life by several "unknown" assailants.
While Muffy was guarding Bill as Rebecca, she hit on the idea of having Angela, the biggest girl in the Alpha House make a stab at impersonating Bill. She suggested that this way, "Bill" could shake up the Sigmas while having the perfect alibi. Xochi and Bunny set to work on that project and before long,
Angela was making the "Ghost of Bill" talk with the feminized Alpha pledges. To their surprise, the "Pledges" told Bill about a series of unsolved rapes and campus crimes in addition to giving up evidence about what had happened to Rebecca.
CHAPTER TWO
"Is that you, Rebecca?" asked Bill with a scratchy and scarred voice.
"Oh, Bill how wonderful!" exclaimed Xochi from behind "Rebecca's visage. "Let me get the Doctor Radishi. He will want to know this new turn in your condition right away."
"Stay with me a moment Rebecca. I thought that I had lost you. I had the most horrible dreams. I am so glad to see you are all right. Where am I and how did I get here?"
"Do you remember anything at all, Bill?"
"All I can remember was that George, Mike, Jack and John were staring to hurt you when someone finally knocked me out with what felt like a full beer bottle. Is this St. Claire's Hospital?"
"Yes Bill."
"Have I been her long?"
"Almost a month."
"You seemed to have recovered well from your injuries, Rebecca."
"I had a little help, Bill. Someone had to watch over you."
"Did they hurt you bad, Honey?"
"We will talk about that later Bill when you are stronger."
"Tell me, Rebecca. I have to know. I won't rest until those bums that hurt
you are behind bars."
"Don't worry about that now, Bill. I will get the officer on your door to call Lieutenant Snelling take your statement once Doctor Radishi says it is okay."
"Give me a kiss, Honey. I am so sorry I let them sucker you into that Horror.
If had known what they planned, I wouldn't have allowed them to even get started let alone get you in the middle of it," declared Bill as his voice started to give out."
"Don't worry about all that Bill," said Rebecca as she leaned forward and kissed Bill with her firm latex lips. "Let me get the doctor."
"But, Rebecca..."
"No `buts', Bill. There will be plenty of time for what you want form me once we get you squared away."
"All right, Sweetie. Do what you have to do, but I will consider what you just said a iron clad promise."
Because of the attempt on Bill's life, and the fact the one of the suspects was the son of the chief of police, the Lieutenant in charge of Internal Affairs had told the girls, that except for Bill's doctor, they weren't supposed to tell anyone except the officers from Internal Affairs if and when Bill came out of his coma. He didn't even want Bill's family notified until they had Bill's sworn statement. Xochi/Rebecca went out into the hall past the guard on Bill's door and down the hall to the pay phone. From there she called Lieutenant Snelling. Fortunately, the Lieutenant was at his phone and said he would be over with a stenographer in about twenty minutes.
Xochi/Rebecca then had the nurse's station page Doctor Radishi. It was Radishi's surgery and grafting that had saved Bill's life to begin with. The
Doctor answered his page immediately and said that he would be there in about
five minutes.
"Whatever you say to him between now and my arrival, Xochi, do not tell Bill
just yet that Rebecca had passed. I don't think his lungs and heart could take the shock."
"I understand, Doctor Radishi. I will be waiting for you in Bill's room." As Xochi hurried back down the hall to Bill's room she could see that the guard's seat was empty. She pushed on the door and blasted into the room. Bill appeared to be resting peacefully on his back. No one else was in the room. She checked the rest room and closet, but they were empty as well."
Because of Xochi/Rebecca's anxious movements, Bill asked, "What's all the fuss about, Rebecca?"
"There is supposed to be a guard on your door, Bill and he is gone."
"Maybe he didn't have to stay at that post after I awoke," suggested Bill in his scratchy voice.
"I didn't tell him that you are awake, Bill. There was an attempt on your life and only a special team of officers will know that you are awake at first."
"But the guard knows that I am awake, Rebecca. He poked his head in here just a couple of minutes ago."
"That is even stranger. I want the duty nurse in here then," said Xochi/Rebecca as she pushed hard on the call button and blocked the door with a chair wedged under the latch."
"You are really serious about this aren't you, Rebecca. It is like you are circling the wagon's against an Indian attack."
"You have no idea how serious this is, Bill. I am not worried about the Indians. It is the Town Marshals that may be our problem. The special police unit that I have called will be here soon and the doctor should be here any minute, but I want to make sure all the bases are covered. Some very heavy players are against us."
"Who blocked this door?" called a voice from the hall. "Doctor, someone pressed the emergency call button in this room, the guard is nowhere to be seen and now the door is blocked."
"Thank you nurse," said Doctor Radishi's familiar voice. "You may return to your station, I'll take care of this."
"But, Doctor..."
"That will be all, Nurse Freeman," interrupted Dr. Radishi as Rebecca/Xochi
unblocked the door.
"I am sorry, Doctor, but where is the guard. I have strict instructions from
Lieutenant Snelling that this patient is not to be left alone."
"The Lieutenant is already on his way, Nurse. You might want to call him to report on the absence of the guard. I will take responsibility here until
Lieutenant Snelling arrives."
"Very good, Doctor. I have taken liking to that boy and the girls who have watched over him," declared Nurse Freeman as she hurried off to make her call.
Doctor Radishi came into the room. "Nice to meet you Bill. You are some of my best work. Let's see how you are doing."
"I'm doing fine, Doc. Can you tell me how Rebecca is? She doesn't say much."
"I am not her doctor, Bill," said Dr. Radishi truthfully. My concern is your
health. "Our Rebecca looks pretty good to me though."
"Did they hurt her Doc.?"
"There will be time for those questions with Lieutenant Snelling, Bill."
"Why won't anybody tell me anything."
"You have been away on a long voyage, Bill. You have just pulled back into port. Let's take things one-step-at-a-time and see how things go until you get your land legs under you."
"What are you hiding from me? What is wrong with Rebecca."
"There is nothing wrong with me, Honey," declared Xochi/Rebecca. Doctor Radishi threw a smile of appreciation in her direction. "Please let the doctor do his examination. The Lieutenant will be here soon."
Rebecca/Xochi's words had a calming effect on Bill and he lay back as Doctor
Radishi took out his stethoscope and began listening to Bill's lungs. "You are a very lucky boy, Bill. Rebecca has been on duty twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. I have never seen such dedication. You have a lot to live for."
"I know, Doc. My Rebecca is the best. That is why I want you fix me so I can
nail the bums that hurt her."
"I am afraid that your body won't be in the condition it was without some physical therapy, Bill. I ordered a team to do some evaluations with in the hour, but my guess is that you have a little way to go to get back to your old capable self."
"Just get me on my legs and point me in the right direction. I'm tough I can
take them all out."
"I think your brain is making some promises that your body can't keep at the
moment, Bill. You have been in this bed for a month after some pretty difficult surgery. You probably have some muscle atrophy. I think the police are about to crack this case anyway. Can you roll over on your side and take some deep breaths for me?"
"What's taking them so long to crack the case?" asked Bill.
They need your testimony, Bill," said Rebecca/Xochi as Bill rolled onto his side and breathed as instructed. "Everything has to be ironclad and air tight if we are going to make this stick."
"Why wasn't your testimony good enough, Becky?"
"I don't remember a whole lot about that night, Bill. It is like I wasn't
even there," said Xochi truthfully from behind Rebecca's lovely and sensual
visage.
"Damn, it must have been absolutely horrible for you, Honey. Will you ever forgive me?"
"There is nothing to forgive, Bill," said Xochi/Rebecca.
"Your lungs sound absolutely clear, Bill. That is really good news. The bad news is that they won't be at full function for at least another three to six
months. Of course you have your youth in your favor, but there maybe some
permanent scaring. Only time will tell."
At that point there was some loud talking in the hall as Lieutenant Snelling arrived and dressed down the guard who had returned to his post. "I don't care if you have to wet your pants. You are never to leave you post, officer, until you are properly relieved, which you will be in able to do in about two shakes of a lamb's tail. Take a note, Sergeant Monahan, I don't want this officer anywhere near our assignment jurisdiction. Get Garcia down here immediately. I want this man relieved and off the case."
"Yes, Sir, Lieutenant," said Sergeant Monahan. "Looks like your pisser fucked
you up bad, boy. I need your badge number for the record and my report to your superiors. I would be looking for any promotion in this department anytime soon." The former guard officer looked at the ground with a faint smile on his face, but said nothing.
Other than naming four of the Sigmas that were raping Rebecca when they
rendered him unconscious, Bill wasn't able to add much to the information to the scenario officers had already developed from mysterious and anonymous sources that had been sending Lt. Snelling leads and bits of physical evidence. However, Bill's sworn statements and eye witness testimony were enough to finally fracture the wall of Sigma silence.
Several of them told wild tales about how the "Ghost of Rebecca" was constantly haunting the Sigma house. Several even claimed to have dated the "Ghost of Rebecca". With the testimony of other Sigmas, who also implicated themselves in the infamous gang rape, a grand jury investigation swore out arrest warrants for George, Mike, Jack and John.
Because of the breach in security that somehow occurred during the security
guard's absence in the hospital, with Doctor Radishi's assistance, Lt. Snelling had Bill moved to a safe house that even limited the visits by Rebecca. While this was initially hard on Bill, it helped Xochi pull back from her ever growing love for her stepbrother. While she was no genetic relation to him, she felt that to give into the sexual desires that he felt for Xochi as Rebecca were somehow incestuous.
A secondary body of evidence also developed that demonstrated methods of
intimidation and obstruction of justice in the case by the Mayor, the Chief of
Police, the Notsoiv University administration and the District Attorney's office. The scandals and investigations that ensued, split the community wide
open. A series of resignations in high places in city and county government slowly began to emerge. This even spread to the dean of student's office and
the President of the university.
The event rocked the city's establishment and most influential families to the
core. Several of the unsolved cases and campus rapes that had piled upon Lt. Snelling's desk were finally solved, resolved and closed. Curiously, several
former Alpha residents and alumni came forward with their own tales of rape and degradation at the hands of former Sigmas. Since the house was also one of the leading clubs in the business community, the entire economy of the town experience an across the board hit.
There were rumors of the four boys being spirited off to Canada or Mexico by their families for their protection, but the families vehemently denied these
suggestions. Others felt that the Sigmas had done away with the culprits themselves in order to clear their consciences of their dastardly deeds. After all, several other Sigmas had "disappeared" and were still unaccounted for as well. A few unsubstantiated rumors suggested that Bill had never been in a coma and had done away with several of the Sigmas during the time he was allegedly out cold in the hospital.
While the university never officially closed down the Sigma house, it faded away in a couple of years because no new freshmen rushed the house, as an endless series of charges, suits and counter charges embroiled the house as well as other fraternal orders of Notsoiv University. The TV crew of "Unsolved Mysteries" came to the campus to make a full hour segment on all of the mysterious happenings around Rebecca's death, but gave up on the story when most of the key players refused to sign clearances.
On the other hand, the Alpha house continued to flower and grow. Part of the thanks for this phenomenal growth belongs to dedicated group of very quiet women who function like a twenty-four seven maintenance team for the House, but that is yet another story in the saga of Alpha Masking. Several of the other sororities at Notsoiv University also seemed to have "acquired" some well-trained "helpers" from the Alpha House. The "Order of Rebecca" continued to grow and it is said that her ghost still walks the Notsoiv campus each rushing season to make sure that all fraternal initiation rites are civil and purposeful. This vigilance is yet an ongoing reality of the Alpha House at
Notsoiv University.
Buffy, Bunny, Peggy an Sue have gone on to organize other Alpha Chapters and
Houses around the nation. They are all currently serving as exemplary house
mothers in various parts of the country. An integral part of each of these Chapters is the "Order of Rebecca." This secret document that you are reading is utilized at each and every initiation ritual of the "Order". Of course the
names and locations have been changed to protect the guilty.
As for Xochi and Bill: Xochi and the Ramparts family didn't reveal anything about her masquerade until about three months after Bill's awakening from the
coma. Bill took the revelation very hard at first, but with Doctor Radishi's
able care, he slowly began to realize and appreciate how important her deception, along with the assistance of the "Order of Rebecca", had been to his survival.
The Tomlinsons still credit Xochi to bringing their son Bill back to full health. When she graduated with full honors after being the first woman of
minority lineage to be a President of the Alpha House, both of the Rampart and Tomlinson families set-up and gave her a trust fund to help her find her own genetic roots, but that too is another masking story.
